Sidewalk Chalk

Today, I introduced Landry to Sidewalk Chalk. So far, she has showed little interest in drawing or coloring, but I thought she might enjoy doing something a little out of the ordinary. Well, she loved the chalk, but not necessarily for its intended purpose. She loved emptying the bucket and filling it back up with chalk. She enjoyed drawing on the plants and chasing Saban with the chalk. She also liked balancing the chalk on the bucket lid and attempting to hold two pieces of chalk with one hand. And she liked giving the chalk to me and taking it back again. Don't get me wrong, she did write on the concrete and was pleased with her work, she just thought the other activities were much more interesting. The important thing is that she did have fun as you can see in the pictures.

Imaginative Play

Landry has begun imaginative play. There were times before where she would talk on a play phone, brush her hair with a brush, or feed her baby doll a bottle. But now, she has begun to pretend toys are different objects. In this video, I believe she is using her doodle board as a plate and spoon. However, she doesn't just eat off of the board. She goes around eating off of everything. This kept her busy for about an hour.

Barefoot and Running Wild

Wednesday night, the CSU BCM sponsored a Praise Fest on the school's intramural fields. Landry, not knowing too much about what was going on, stayed pretty close to me the whole night. There were so many people there she did not know. This was until I took off her shoes. She kept losing one sandal so I decided just to do away with them. What a difference. Apparently having no shoes felt freeing and the rest of the night was a game of chase to her. I didn't mind though. It is such a joy watching my little girl have fun. Look at the expression on her face. It is priceless!

How to Eat an Ice Cream Cone Landry Style

Landry has had a few bites of our ice cream here and there, but she had never had the privilege of diving into her very own ice cream cone. Here, you will see her experience this momentous occasion. She absolutely LOVED it! On a side note...have a mentioned I love our new MAC? These videos are a sinch with it.

Landry is Happy and We Know It!

Landry is very expressive. She mimics the way we say words and the faces we make. Clearly this is what happened when she learned the motions for "Happy and You Know It." Make sure you pay close attention to her face during the lyrics "then your face will surely show it" I guess that is what my face looks like when I sing the song to her....although hers is soooo much cuter!

Landry and Saban

Landry and Saban have a love hate relationship.....she loves him and he hates her. Well, not really, but Saban realizes that Landry has stolen all of his attention and doesn't really have a whole lot for her. However, every once in a while, Saban chooses to show his softer side and tolerates Landry. In this video, he allowed Landry to feed him his food one piece at a time. It was really cute.

Easter

Easter is always an exciting time, because we celebrate our risen Savior!! While Landry is not old enough to understand that yet, she is old enough now to participate in most of the Easter festivities. There were so many fun parts of this Easter, I couldn't decide which videos to show or which pictures to post. Instead, I made a compilation video (thanks to our new Mac). I hope you enjoy!!

Wheels on the Bus

Landry LOVES to do motions to songs. She suprises me everyday with new things that she knows. She'll watch me sing to her and a couple of days later, I will catch her in her room doing the motions. It really is cool. One of her favorites is "Wheels on the Bus." Watch Landry's rendition.
