Fun! Fun! Fun!

That could definitely be the theme from this past weekend. We've been trying to give Landry plenty of attention and take her special places since Eli's arrival. This past weekend was jam- packed with activities: the renaissance festival, a birthday party, and Chuckee Cheese. She loved every minute of it. Here are some pics from the weekend.

I didn't forget about Eli, he was eating or sleeping most of the time

Being a Princess is Hard Work!

You always have to look beautiful, even if that means wearing high heels to
wash the car,

shoot hoops,
play on the playground,
or ride the 3-wheeler.

Landry insisted on wearing her "princess" shoes today. No other shoes were going to do.

A Perfect Event for a Princess

The school I taught at last year has an annual renaissance festival. This year, Landry was at a great age to really enjoy the festivities. So we put on her pretty princess attire and headed there. While we were there Landry....

roamed the halls like she owned the place,
caught a duck with her bare hands,
jumped from rock to rock around a lake to win a baby cake (a.k.a. a mini-muffin),
fished......
for SNAKES!!!
showed off baby brother,
and got some "crazy hair". Look closely. Her pigtails are pink.
What a perfect night for a princess!

The Many Faces of Landry Kate

This was our blog name before we changed it to include our entire family. But this girl truly is a girl of many faces! She's got tons of personality. Here are some pictures we have gotten of her lately being, well.......... Landry

Baby Face

Baby Face you've got the cutest little baby face
There's not another who can take your place
Baby face my heart poor heart is thumpin' you sure have started somethin'
Baby face I'm up in heaven when I'm in your fond embrace
Uh well I need a shove because I'm in love with your pretty baby face

Eli's 2 week well visit

Eli had his well visit today. I was so excited to find out that he was back at his birthweight, 8 lb. 4 oz., meaning I have been producing and he has been eating well. Also, he is 21 inches long. Since it is highly unlikely that he grew 2 inches in 2 weeks, we are thinking his measurement of 19 inches at birth was inaccurate. Everything else checked out perfectly. We are blessed with a healthy and happy little boy!

Preacher Hair

Daddy had a little fun with Eli's hair.

Watch out Daddy! You just might be a preacher, yourself, one day.

Raining Cats and Dogs

At least that is what Landry would argue. She got her very own umbrella on Saturday, and she's been walking around the house like this ever since.

Playdate

Eli had his first playdate on Friday, and all he did was slept. (sorry I didn't get a picture)

Landry and her friends, on the other hand, had a blast!!!
