How could I forget?

As I read back over my February blog post, I realized I forgot to include the MOST important event from the month.....My MawMaw's 80th birthday!!!  You see, I had all the pictures in its own special folder, so when I uploaded all my February pictures, the pictures from her special day were not included.  Which is not necessarily a bad thing, because a celebration of someone as incredible as my MawMaw deserves a blog post all its own.

Now, I have a great big family, none who are afraid of hard work.  Everyone is so talented and willing to give one hundred percent of themselves to whatever cause is at hand, especially a cause as special as my grandmother's 80th birthday party.  After all she is the mother to 8, grandmother to 21, great-grandmother to so many I have lost count, and she became a great-great-grandmother this year.

Everything was perfect!  Purple and sparkly.  The food was delicious and the cake was out of this world.  I'll let the pictures speak....

It was a beautiful day celebrating the most beautiful lady.

March Mayhem

We love March!  The temperatures are warming up, the flowers are blooming, crawfish and strawberries are in season, and we get to celebrate our E-man!!

March 5, Eli had his golden birthday.  I blinked and he turned 5.

We started our celebration at the beloved Donut King,

then we went home to celebrate with friends.  Landry had gotten up early to make him a cake and a card.

 For dinner, he requested "make-your-own" pizzas

 The happy face is always a very popular design :)

 A few days later, we celebrated a little more......

 The birthday boy was feeling little under the weather, but he still managed to smile that sweet smile of his.
