Bonding in Bandera

Let's face it, my blog has sort of become a joke.  The days of recording every event are long gone.  I keep saying that one day I will catch up, but I probably won't.  Still, I enjoy looking back at photos from all our wonderful experiences (who doesn't).

Last night I was reminded of our amazing Family Mission Trip/Retreat to Bandera, Texas.  It was our second year to go, and it was just as wonderful as our first trip.  We have been so fortunate to get to stay at an incredible Ranch, The Uno Mas Ranch.  During hunting season, you can expect to kill some major wild game there, but during the Summer it is a magical place to take late night "safaris", view gorgeous Texas sunsets, rock on front porches, have moutain-side worship, and hang out in the Texas shaped swimming pool.  The owners have graciously allowed us to retreat there for a long weekend each year.

Check out our pictures from last summer, at the Ranch:

For our Mission Project, we partnered with a ministry called, Taking It To The Streets. They provide food and clothing for the homeless and impoverished, but they also form meaningful relationships with the people they serve.  It was a joy to serve alongside them, and to see our children serving as well!

Each evening, after serving, the group forms a large circle and give testimonies and Praise God for the work he is doing.

And here is a final picture of our whole amazing group.  Man, I love these people!!!
