2:00 a.m blogging

If you've wondered lately how I have had time to blog with a new baby in the house, I actually have to give all the credit to Eli himself. You see, he decides he's hungry at about 2 or 3 in the morning, and I feel completely "out of it" during that time. The only way I can stay awake is to play on the computer.

So, if you have read something recently that is not grammatically sound or doesn't make a lick of sense, just know that it is 2:00 a.m. talking :)

Pics of my Little Chicks

Wednesday, my mom finished making the kiddo's Easter outfits. So I wanted to do their first ever photo shoot together. Whew, was that a challenge! Here are the only 2 decent shots I could get of the two of them together

However, I still managed to get some adorable individual shots of each of them. Here are a few of my favorites

"It's ok Ebi"

I hear this phrase about 30 times a day. Landry is always trying to comfort her baby brother. Anytime he grunts, coos or cries, Landry runs to him and says, "It's ok, It's ok Ebi."

So a couple of days ago, Cory and I stepped out of the room for a minute. Eli was in his bouncy seat, and Landry was playing. Suddenly, Eli began to cry. When we walked into the living room, we found Landry over his seat. She was frantically trying to give him his binky, saying "it's ok" over and over again, and balling her eyes out because she was so worried about her baby brother. It was pitiful and precious all at the same time.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

That could definitely be the theme from this past weekend. We've been trying to give Landry plenty of attention and take her special places since Eli's arrival. This past weekend was jam- packed with activities: the renaissance festival, a birthday party, and Chuckee Cheese. She loved every minute of it. Here are some pics from the weekend.

I didn't forget about Eli, he was eating or sleeping most of the time

Being a Princess is Hard Work!

You always have to look beautiful, even if that means wearing high heels to
wash the car,

shoot hoops,
play on the playground,
or ride the 3-wheeler.

Landry insisted on wearing her "princess" shoes today. No other shoes were going to do.

A Perfect Event for a Princess

The school I taught at last year has an annual renaissance festival. This year, Landry was at a great age to really enjoy the festivities. So we put on her pretty princess attire and headed there. While we were there Landry....

roamed the halls like she owned the place,
caught a duck with her bare hands,
jumped from rock to rock around a lake to win a baby cake (a.k.a. a mini-muffin),
fished......
for SNAKES!!!
showed off baby brother,
and got some "crazy hair". Look closely. Her pigtails are pink.
What a perfect night for a princess!
