Under the Weather

I am so glad this little guy is feeling better now.

 I just hated seeing him with so much less energy than normal.

 And I missed those bright eyes of his.

Oh, Oh, Oh, Who's that kid with the Oreo Cookie?

So, it dawned on me recently, as I was walking through Wal-mart, that I had never introduced my kids to Oreos and milk.  What kind of Un-American Mom am I???  Oreos and milk is a staple here in the US, and my poor children have fallen victim to the mom who has been so busy trying new things that she forgets the simple things that brought her joy as a kid.  Ok, so maybe I shouldn't be so dramatic about it all. My children have had the opportunity to experience lots of great things.  However, now they can add Oreos and Milk to their lists of experiences :)

Did they enjoy it?  Judging by the residue on Eli's face, you tell me.

A Day at the Museum

So....I have the BEST cousin in the world!!!  When she called me to ask me if we liked the Children's Museum, I figured she was trying to plan out her next trip to Louisiana.  Imagine my excitement when I opened our Christmas card that included a membership card to the New Orleans Children's Museum!!!  That envelope may as well have been filled with diamonds, the way I reacted.  I can't imagine a more perfect gift!

I had been itching to take advantage of it.  Last week, we got the opportunity.  We even got to bring friends!!

So, what kind of things can you do at the children's museum?

Well, you can ride a bike with a skeleton.

 You can be an ambulance driver, fireman, or policeman. (By the way, Landry's co-pilot is Flat Stanley.  He went with us on the special adventure)

You can buy as many groceries as you'd like and you get to name your own price.

 You can serve the most odd food combinations and still end up with happy customers :)

Now, that's a burger!

You can go hog wild in the general store and even hang a few pieces of clothes to dry.

 You even get to do art projects!

This week, while Cory was in town, we went again.

I'm pretty sure we could go everyday and never get tired of it!
