Pure Randomness

Daddy and Eli share storytime
Landry, just being cute while she eats

Cory sent the kids his favorite Easter candy to enjoy.

Lan was my gardening buddy.
And on this day, the sunlight from the skylights was bothering her, so she thought up a solution.  Love this girl's ingenuity!

Just two crazy kids.....

And these are just a few taken at my parents' house...
We found a turtle.  Actually we found two.  Landry named them Franklin and Hannah Anna.  We took them both home and made a habitat for them in our sand box.  Sadly, they were both escape artists and snuck out when we were not looking.  Now we have no turtles, BUT we have refilled the sandbox with fresh sand and the kids are loving it :)

And this is from Millennium Park in Lake Charles.  It is such a cool park!  Very different from any of the other parks we've been to.  The kids had a blast!!

No Place Like Birmingham

We have had the privilege of living in several places since we've been married.  Each place holds a special place in our hearts.  Not because of where it is located or what is there, but because of WHO is there.  Every time we have had to leave a place, there have been tears, lots or tears, because we've had to leave people that we had grown to love like family.  Thankfully, all of these places are day's drive away, and we take comfort in the fact that visits to our old homes are possible.

As a matter of fact, one of those visits did become possible when two of our former students asked Cory and me to be a part of their wedding.  What an honor for Cory to perform the ceremony and me to sing!!  To say we were ecstatic would be downplaying it....A TON!  We were literally counting down the days till we'd get to see the many loved ones we had left behind in Birmingham.

We reconnected with friends over yogurt.  Lan got to meet JB who is just a couple of weeks younger than her.  They hit it off pretty quickly

Then we reunited with several of our former students and friends at one of our favorite restaurants.  We have MANY memories at Frontera!

OH, how we love and miss these people!

Then the blessed event took place.  The union between Matt and Samantha.  What a gorgeous ceremony.  Everything was picture perfect and centered on God.  It's definitely a day Cory and I will keep in our hearts forever.

Thank you again, Matt and Samantha, for letting us be a part of your wedding day.... AND giving us a perfectly good reason to visit Birmingham again :)  We hope to visit again very soon!
