Fall Family Fun Day!

When Daddy comes home, seems like there is one thing on our agenda: FUN!!!  We have a limited amount of time to see him, so we make the best of every moment.  I was so anxious for him to get back last weekend because I had found a wonderful pumpkin patch online and knew it would be the perfect outing for us.  The forecast projected highs in the upper 60s.  Could there be a more perfect day???

Absolutely NOT!  This day exceeded my expectations.  The kids ran around for hours, jumping on the giant pillow, sliding down the super fast slide, riding the tire zip-line, playing with Daddy in the hay.  And I've got pictures, pictures, pictures, recording this marvelous day.  Our faces say it all :) :) :)

Love this series of pictures capturing Cory jumping over a haystack, chasing one of our munchkins

I had two requests for the day: 1. That we got a picture of all 5 of us (our first family picture)....

2. That I got a picture of my little pumpkin in the patch.
SUCCESS!!!

Needless to say, we'll be doing this again next year!!!

Little Hands, Little Feet....

When Landry was born, I knew nothing about photography.  When Eli was born, I knew some.  Now, that I have had a few years of experience photographing my kids and others, I feel a little or a lot more competent in the area.  I remember talking to a fellow photographer friend, telling her how impressed I was with the fact that she had found time to take so many pictures of her newborn.  I called her Super Mom.  She responded with "I'm not Super Mom, just slightly obsessed."  Because she had two older children, she knew how fast they grew and was determined to capture every ounce of that itty-bitty baby stage.

So, I am here to say that I too am obsessed.  It's so easy to forget just how small a newborn baby is.  It amazes me every time I see a new one.  I have thoroughly enjoyed capturing these precious first days of Cooper's little life.  I will cherish these photos forever :)

This one was for Daddy, His little future theologian...
