Mrs. Heather's, How We Love Thee

Aside from Christmas morning, this could be the most anticipated day of the year.  When I announced to my kids it was the first day of Fall, they immediately started asking when we would get to go to the pumpkin patch. Now, we did go on a field trip to Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch with some friends and had a good ole time.  But, we knew it could not compare to going with Daddy!!  All I have heard from E this entire month and last is "We're going to go to the pumpkin patch when daddy gets home, and play in the hay!"  Can you blame him for being excited?  After all, last year was EPIC.  Allow me to remind you:

I Can't remember what kid was on the other side of that haystack, but he or she was surely grounded, and tickled silly.

Friday was our big day, and I was especially looking forward to it since the Coopster is mobile now.  Last year, I was a little tied to a stroller the whole time.  I wanted to try my hand at hay jumping, pillow jumping, tube sliding, and the works!  And you know what?  That's just what I did :)

Here is our day from start to finish:

 Eeewww!  Those donkeys are stinky!

Daddy's about to go in for the kill....
Looks like someone may have thwarted his plan.  I think he got attacked himself.

 The duckface.....
There was even a tunnel in the hay this year

Water break for this little one

 And onto the jumping pillow!
Judging by the fact that my mouth is wide open in all these pictures, I am pretty sure I had the most fun

 Corn anyone?

Ok, so this next picture does NOT represent our proudest parenting moment.  It went down a little something like this:

C: "Amber, get ready to catch Cooper."
A: "Wait, what?"
C: "I'm bringing him to slide"
A: "Down the super fast one?" "Wait.  Are you coming down with him?"
C: "Yes"
A: (Thinking to myself) "Oh good, I will take a picture"

What Cory heard:
A: "Are you sending him down now?"
C: "Yes" (Thinks to himself) "Ok, I can send him down because she is ready to catch him"

I was not ready to catch him.

I did, however, get a picture...

....two, actually

Poor little guy!

He is still suffering from our carelessness, with a big scab on his nose.
Can't you see the heartache in his eyes??  ;)

And don't you know we just had to end our day with a little more hay jumping.

I almost forgot, this is actually a pumpkin patch.  We should probably pick out a few to take home

Coop was not a happy camper when he couldn't pick up his own pumpkin

That's better :)

 Best. Day. Ever.

BUT WAIT!

My super thoughtful husband had a date planned for us when we got home.  He had already lined up the sitter, found a fun restaurant on Magazine Street, and arranged for us to go roller skating!!!  Say What?!

Seriously.
Best. Day. Ever.
