Disney World, Day 2

Today we went to Epcot.

I never knew that the giant golf ball was not actually supposed to be a golf ball.

Spaceship Earth makes much more sense.

We began our day on Mission Space.  Lan was not such a fan, and E was not tall enough to ride.  But the grown-up kids had a blast!

We heard Epcot was known for good food since it had many different cultural influences.  The kids especially enjoyed the dessert choices at lunch…

Giant Mickey Mouse sprinkled rice crispy treat

and Strawberry Shortcake
He left a little on his face for later ;)
After lunch, the kids learned about saving money
 and about escaping burning buildings
I had no idea Disney World taught such things.

After they were well educated, it was time to meet some characters!

A big bear dog hug? (bu dum ch)

There's E peeking to see which characters we will be meeting next

Donald was a little appalled by Eli's shirt

And a message in the sky appeared telling everyone to Trust Jesus.  What an amazing pilot!
The kids loved the Nemo ride, especially the "My My" birds
Oh look!  The star of the ride
and a few of his friends
We also went to an interactive show with Crush the Sea Turtle where Eli and I were picked to participate.  Eli made the phrase "Totally Sweet" sound….TOTALLY sweet :)

Before dinner, we rode the incredible ride, Soarin'!  This may have been our whole family's favorite ride!  It felt just like we were hang-glding across many different places and climates.  E said "We flied like Superman!" Next we rode "Living with the Land" which took us through green houses full of fruits and vegetables that Disney had been growing.  Obviously all the plants had Eli feeling a little guilty, because he turned to me and said "Mom, I think I need a healthy snack" It must of been the massive rice crispy treat at lunch…LOL

No Fear!  We had a reservation for Garden Grill. Amazing restaurant that actually served some of the foods that had been grown at Disney World and…….more characters!!!

First we saw Chip and Dale, or as Eli calls them "Chicken Dale"

Lan drew a picture of them
Mickey Mouse had slipped into his overalls.  Obviously he had been busy working in his garden right before dinner.
.

And Pluto was especially sweet!

We burned the night oil again, and stuck around to watch the beautiful show, Illuminations

Another awesome day.

Disney World!! Our departure, arrival, and Day 1

I tried to think of a really clever title for this post.  But try as I may, I could not think of way for DISNEY WORLD to sound any more magical than it already is?  My whole face lights up at it's very utterance and I can't seem to stop smiling for days.

Yes.  It is really that magical.

Can you even begin to imagine our excitement when Santa gave us Disney World Magic Bands!!??

Landry thought she wasn't going to get to go to Disney World until she was 17 and I have to admit, I thought she was not too far off with that idea.  We're thankful that God not only provides for our needs, but sometimes even for those childhood dreams we have.

We left on a Saturday and spent six UNBELIEVABLE days at the Disney Parks.  I took around…….1000 pictures.  No surprise to anyone, I'm sure.

Because there is just too much excitement (and too many pictures) for anyone to handle in one sitting, I figured I'd post about one day at a time.  :)

Two excited little kids at 6:30 a.m. ready to take a LONG car ride.  I forgot to mention that Coop stayed home with the most wonderful GiGi and PawPaw ever!

And here we are arriving at the Happiest Place on Earth!!!

Upon arrival, we had to do a little bed jumpin'...

….and chair sittin'….

…and peep hole peepin'.

We don't get out much.

We had a pretty hard time getting to sleep that night, but we eventually caught a few winks then woke up the next morning to get all suited up!

Dental hygiene is important, even for Mickey Mouse

And after we perfected our smiles….

We finally arrived at Main Street in the Magic Kingdom!!!

We may have stopped at every photographer to get a picture... ;)

And there is my little princess twirling in front of Cinderella's castle.  She had been dying to see it!

She was starstruck as we walked in to meet Rapunzul and Snow White

Then we walked on the WILD side with a carousel ride

We ate lunch at the Beast's Castle.  I will be anyone's guest if they give me desert's like these!

And then we got even more wild and crazy and ventured on to the teacups!

Finally it was time for the mini space ranger to meet his space ranger hero
He was little nervous at first.  Mommy's leg seemed like a safe place to hide.

Then he realized that Buzz really was a super cool dude (especially since his expression never. ever. changes)

 To infiniti….and BEYOND!

Enchanted Tales with Belle was next, where Lan got to play the role of the Beast

She wasn't too sure about it at first.  She's much more accustomed to playing the role of a princess.  But she dug down deep and roared a great roar!

 We were so proud!
Pretty sure this little guy could have played a pretty fierce beast, himself.
That night we stayed out late watching the Electrical Parade and Fireworks
By the end of the night, all Lan could exclaim was: "Disney World is so good!  And Great and Fun!!!"
