I was told that little boys will steal you heart, but I had no idea to what extent. I can't even put into words how smitten I am by you, my little Eli. You are PURE joy and the cutest little boy I have ever seen! As I always say, it is hard to believe you are growing so quickly. I sometimes wish I could stop the clock because I am enjoying you so much at the age you are, but I look forward to every stage of life with you. I know every moment will be special. You have accomplished many milestones this year. You are stepping, crawling (like a tank), clapping, dancing, throwing, playing clever little games, "talking", spitting, and the list goes on and on. You have accomplished so much in your first year! I am so proud of you.
Some little things we love about you are: your contagious smile, the way you crawl with such intention, the way you bury you head in our shoulder when you need some cuddling, the way you lay a big wet one on us when you're happy to see us, the way clap our hands together because you want us to do pat-a-cake, the way you throw everything, the way squint your eyes and shake your head to be silly. We love EVERYTHING about YOU!!!
We pray that God will make you an awesome warrior for Him. Even though you are only 1-year-old, we pray that one day you will be a wonderful husband and dad. We pray that you will keep your Joy because you know Christ and you will accredit your joy to Him. We thank God for you! You are an amazing gift!
