3 is a magic number

My 3rd child turned 3 years old about 3 months ago!  Since 3 is a magic number, we set out to have a magical day.

If you know our family, you know that our first stop on everyone's birthday is Donut King.
Because....FREE DONUTS

We filled our bellies with fried, sugary goodness and then headed to the main attraction: GLOBAL WILDLIFE

Global Wildlife is a Free Roaming Wildlife reserve that offers safari tours.  It is home to over 4,000 exotic, endangered, and threatened animals from around the world and it is located only minutes from us.  It sounded like quite the magical experience for our new 3-year-old!  After all, 3 is a magic number :)

Upon arrival, we couldn't believe our eyes.  To see giraffes, deer, llamas, and zebras roaming around in "Middle of Nowhere" Louisiana was almost incomprehendable.  But there they were, beautiful and free.

We loaded into the wagon and that is when the real fun began!  See for yourself:

The llamas are just so ugly, they are cute, right??!  The kids loved them because we love Llama Llama books!

And the Zebras....

We were warned not to hand-feed the Zebras because they are quite eager and sometimes can't always control those big teeth of theirs.

But they sure know how to give you a Big "Ole Smile!

Global Wildlife was nothing short of Magical and it was the perfect way to spend Cooper's Birthday.

We also had a small celebration with our Family Group.  Our Family Group consists of us and four other families, who get together each week to eat dinner and study God's Word together.  As the name suggests, we truly are family to one another and I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am for these wonderful people.  It was so lovely to celebrate our little "Coopy" with them.  Now, I actually succeeded at keeping things simple this time.  Cooper likes to play in the dirt, so we had a dirt party!  I slapped some "mud" on the wall, threw some dirt cake into a dump truck and called it GOOD!

Let's Go To The Fair!

My dear friend, Melissa, and I just LOVE to take adventures together.  A dreamer and an optimist, we sometimes get in a little over our heads.  Like the time we found ourselves running through the zoo in the pouring rain, six kids in tow.  But that doesn't stop us!  Sometimes we see a challenge we can't refuse, like free admittance to the fair.  How could we not take full advantage?!  So... now with seven children between the two of us, we each withdrew 30 bucks from the ATM and set out for an afternoon of fun!  We quickly realized that $30 didn't stretch very far at the fair, but we did get to pet some animals, ride a few rides and even indulge in cotton candy.   It was a challenge that actually proved successful.  I love our adventures together :)
