On our last day, we all had a few different goals in mind. Eli wanted to make it to Magic Kingdom in time to ride Space Mountain. Cooper was desperate to ride his favorite ride again, "Peter Pan Pirate Ships". And I REALLY wanted to see the good morning show that starts at....wait for it....6:30 a.m. I was up at 5 a.m. bright and bushy-tailed, but the rest of my family looked a little like this.
I poked and prodded them, shook and tickled, sang and squealed, but to no avail. It became clear, very quickly that I would not make it to see the show. I told them I was leaving them next time! LOL
We did, however, get there in time for the park's opening. So we split up and headed for our respective rides, but not before I got a few pictures with my little princess :)
Cory and Eli were not only able to ride Space Mountain one time...
...but TWICE!! The early bird really does get the worm.
Next, we met up at Be Our Guest for breakfast. This restaurant is made to look exactly like the Beast's castle. It is beautiful! And the food is delectable. You can even eat in the forbidden West Wing, where the Rose is located, but we prefer to stay where it is nice and cheery.
Oh look, a stow-away!
After breakfast, we got a close-up look at the castle, and then we hit Frontier Land and Adventure Land
We rode the Jungle Cruise, Visited the Tiki Room, Climbed the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House and adventured with the Pirates of the Caribbean
Then, it was time to use our first fast pass of the day, BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RAILROAD!!!
Cory and I took turns riding with the big kids. Lucky little ducks got to ride 3 times in a row!!
Next, we defeated Zurg at Buzz Light Year Spin.
And we even got a chance to see the Fantasy Land Parade again.
Finally, it was time to use our last Fast Pass of the day. The first day at Magic Kingdom Landry missed her opportunity to ride the Mine Train, but she gained some courage after riding Thunder Mountain Railroad. She was, how should I put it, TERRIFIED at the start of the ride.
....but it quickly became her very favorite ride of the whole trip. I'm proud of her for conquering her fears.
Eli was an old pro by now. The Mine Train was a walk in the park compared to the big coasters he has been riding.
Another thing I had on my wish list was ice cream on Main Street. Thankfully we had plenty of snack credits left to enjoy a really special treat. Cory went for the root beer float, while Eli and I indulged in huge ice cream sundaes. Landry got a double scoop of pretty pink ice cream and Cooper had to have the Mickey cone, of course!
So good, y'all!
We decided we would leave the park a little early today, so the kids could rest up a bit before heading to the Hoop De Doo Review, but not before watching an awesome show on the stage of Cinderella's castle and dancing with Olaf on the street.
Back at our resort, the kids rested with a little Kindle time.
And then we got ready for a Rip-Roarin' good time at the Hoop De Doo! You might remember our last trip to Disney, we caught the wrong ferry to get to the show. We ended up 30 minutes late and had to ride a tiny boat in the freezing cold to get there. Well, Cory was going to make certain that didn't happen again so we left early and drove our own vehicle. While, we might have made a few wrong turns, we did get there in the nick of time and were placed in some jam-up seats!
The show was just as delightful and fun as we remembered, and the fried chicken, ribs, cornbread, mac and cheese, and strawberry shortcake weren't half bad either!
We turned in as soon as we returned to our rooms, we knew the next day would be a LONG day of travel. We decided to take our time and check out some of the shops at Downtown Disney on the way out.
We made it to the Lego store, and couldn't drag the kids away.
Can you blame with them with all this awesomeness?!
And here we have our very own little Joey Tribbiani, except instead of "How you doin,?" His pick-up line of choice was "What choo makin'?"
It's a good thing that Legos still distract him a little from the girls, for now ;)
We did finally make it to the Ghirardelli store to get our free chocolate, and a souvenir shop for a couple of sweet mementos.
Then the time came when we HAD to leave.
We weren't too happy about it.
It was a week we will never forget, and I can't begin to describe how grateful I am for the opportunity.
Lastly, I can't forget to mention our AMAZING planner who has planned both of our trips to Disney World. We would be clueless without her! She makes it enjoyable and effortless, and we have loved getting to know her as well. Check her out on Facebook: Grace Travel-Planner Phillips
