We were told that Hollywood Studios was home to the coolest, most splendiferous, totally SWEEEETest ride/game of all times, Toy. Story. Mania.
After two days of waking up early and partying hard till the wee hours, some of us were starting to feel it.
Not naming any names (cough. cough)
But…we heard that if we got to Hollywood Studios right before it opens and head straight for Toy Story Mania, we would get to ride it with little wait time.
So we wiped the sleep out of our eyes and boogied!
Apparently everyone else had the same idea, as the entire crowd was power walking in the same direction and the cast members were directing us all to the "golden" ride.
Was it worth it?
You betcha! The line was 1 1/2 hours long when we checked back later. Luckily, we got to pull out those trusty little FastPasses to ride it a second time ;)
Across from the best ride on earth are the famous characters from the beloved movie Toy Story.
There were also some fun photo props along the way (which made mommy happy)
Melt my heart….
And we can't forget about the army men, although E was not going anywhere near them.
Another reason we were excited about Hollywood Studios is because that is where the Disney Junior Characters live. If you have a little one, I am sure you are very well acquainted with these guys!
After E met Jake, I asked him "Was Jake SO cool?" His response: "He's so short" Well, ok then.
And Princess Sophia was just as lovely...
and
We watched a "cute as a button" Disney Junior puppet show
This little guy especially loved it.
Next, was the great movie ride, which took us through scenes of classic movies. It included this beloved film.
As we spotted Stitch and were headed to see him, Eli felt some very unfamiliar arms around his neck, and looked up to find Donald Duck giving him a hug as he was headed to his destination. It made us all smile.
And how could we forget Daisy….
After a pretty epic morning, we had definitely worked up an appetite! We had reservations at Mama Melrose's Italian Restaurant. I totally walked in expecting to eat Pizza or Spaghetti, but boy was I surprised. Y'all, I tried not to take an obnoxious picture or my food, so as to not make you drool. But my keyboard it wet just thinking about this steak and the four cheese pasta surrounding it.
Bonus: We got a doggy bag with three desserts in it, plus VIP Fantasimic Tickets. As you can tell, Lan was a little taken aback by her Spaghetti and Meatball cupcake
as was Cory...
Needless to say, our expectations were exceeded.
We couldn't miss saying hello to the giant Kermit the Frog outside of our restaurant.
Then we went to meet a couple of other large fellows.
Wow Mike! What big EYE you have. (I crack myself up.)
Later, we took in some of the amazing scenery. It's a perfect place to get some fun pictures, especially since I have this little model here.
And then you see, there's this boy….
We also attended this really amazing car stunt show featuring everyone's favorite race car, Lightning McQueen!!!
I'll let E tell you a little bit about the show.
And here is a show Lan was excited to see.
You'd think Cory and Mr. Incredible were old friends.
They even took a selfie.
Here is the actual selfie. Hmmm….this is what happens when too many big-headed people try to take a selfie. I totally do not mean you, babe ;)
Gotta love my little ballerina's muscle pose. She's such a girl :)
And Eli couldn't wait to meet Wreck-It-Ralph….until we actually saw him. I'm not sure if it was his ginormous hands or his larger-than-life frame, but he was not keen on touching him or even making eye contact.
At last it was time to head to Fantasmic. We had heard so many wonderful things about this show, and it certainly did not disappoint! Eli deemed it "The Best Show EBER!!" Lights, water, fire, characters, fireworks….it had it all!
Here is E, once again, telling about Fantasmic (if you can keep up with him. LOL)
Lan would get a little long-winded when telling about Disney World. Cory found a way to cure that. I'd like to tell you that he's not proud of this moment, but it is quite the opposite. In fact, it might be his proudest moment. One she will definitely look back at and laugh :)
After after a day full of Hollywood adventures, I walked in to find these scene.
I think that means it was good day.
