The most magical week of your life is EXHAUSTING!
Today was a bonus day for us. We had already visited all the parks, so today we would get to go back to our favorite. We couldn't let the magic die quite yet, so we headed back to Magic Kingdom!!
First, we grabbed a couple of cinnamon rolls from Gaston's Cavern. Gaston's motto, "Bigger is Better" definitely applied to his cinnamon rolls...
and his chair!
When our bellies were full, we took a voyage under the sea to relive one of our favorite movies.
Later, we checked out the circus area, where we were entertained by these spunky clowns.
We also saw Minnie Mouse.
Now, after yesterday's incident with Daisy Duck (and her perfect mile-long eye lashes), I wanted to make it clear to these characters that my man was already taken…
I think I made my point. ;)
We also road the Barnstormer, which is a very mild coaster. Now, we have talked about Landry's feeling on roller coasters, but she had assured me she was going to be as brave as she could, and I was going to hold on to her as tightly as I could. Afterwards, she exclaimed that she HATED roller coasters and wished there could never be any ever again in the world!! She's a little dramatic.
The Teacups and the People Mover were more her speed, so we rode those again.
The whole family also loved the Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, so we rode it a few times.
YEAH!!! We defeated Zurg!!
The afternoon was so nice, just taking in the sights, Dole Whips, and Mickey shaped ice cream sandwiches
We also enjoyed watching a show at the castle.
Could it have been a more beautiful day?!!
And then there's that moment that you realize….
….your Mickey fingers are pointing at random strangers. Ooops!!That's better.
I'm not sure if anyone would claim us anyway….
For dinner, we were planning on having a rootin' tootin' good time at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. My wonderful Disney planner had given me instructions to jump on a Ferry to FORT Wilderness.
We were all smiles until we realized we were actually headed to Wilderness LODGE.
Yep. That's right. We had boarded the wrong ferry!! Now, I know that Disney World has some of the most creative people in the world working for them. You would think they could come up with different names to keep people from getting confused. Or maybe I'm the only one. Anyway, after waiting for another boat, and snuggling up to ride in the 37 degree weather, we finally made it to our destination.
Once we got there, it didn't take us long to realize it was totally worth all the confusion and chilling boat ride! We chowed down on fried chicken and ribs, cowboy beans and corn, and delectable strawberry shortcake all while being entertained by some wonderfully talented performers.
They invited us all to participate in the last number by passing out washboards and spoons. By the looks of it, Cory had more than the kids!
Alas, we couldn't leave Disney World without getting a few souvenirs. We made one last stop at Downtown Disney.
Lan decided to load up on potato head pieces, including Minnie Mouse high heels and Tinker Bell wings.
And all this little guy wanted were plain ole Mickey Mouse ears!
Happy Camper.
The time had come to say farewell.
Imagine me singing this in my most dramatic singing voice:
M…I….C (See you real soon!) K….E….Y(Why? Because we love you.)
M-O-U-S-EEEEE!!!!
See you next time!
