1. There are 99,100,000 people at Disney World (and we went during an off-season)
2. (And this is a direct quote) "Do you know what suitcases are called at Disney World? Luggage!!" ;)
Now on to day 4.
If I thought it was hard getting them up and moving on day 3, I really had my work cut out for me today.
But they finally came around...
Today we had some very special plans for Lan, so we needed to head back to Magic Kingdom. We had spent most of our time at Fantasyland the first day, so our plan was to explore the rest of the park.
But first things first….
When the high is 50 at Disney World, you might spend all your snack credits at Starbucks. Or at least we did.
After we were warm and fully caffeinated, Lan and I went to visit Tinker Bell.
Tinker Bell adored Landry's shoes because they looked like they were covered in Pixie Dust!
PIXIE POWER!!!
Periwinkle was also there. She asked Lan if she had dressed her grown-up. HaHa! No, this grown-up just happens to want to be a princess herself. I figured if I blended in with my 6-year-old, it wouldn't be so obvious. Cory thinks I'm crazy.
And we happened to run into our favorite Southern Belle, Tiana! We chatted it up about gumbo and beignets. We felt right at home!
The boys didn't care so much for seeing fairies and princesses, so they split and headed to ride BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RAILROAD!!! We all rode it together the first day at Magic Kingdom, and while Landry was scared out of her mind, Eli was exclaiming "It tickled, and it had lights, and I loved it!!!"
They were a little bit excited about riding it again.
Afterward, they ran into a couple of familiar faces….
"CHICKEN DALE!!!"
We eventually found each other again, and took a stroll in the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House.
I love how their personalities shine through in this picture.
Then we went flying on the magic carpets.
We stopped off to take a couple more fun castle pictures….
Who needs fireworks, when we make our own! HeHe
And although Lan is opposed to roller coasters, she sure does have a rip roarin' good time on the People Mover! WooHoo!!
And she loved it when her Daddy would twirl her in the streets. Sweet Daddy :)
Last stop before Lan's special surprise, the Hundred Acre Wood. I loved the games the kids could play while waiting in line. This was obviously a pretty intense game for E.
And finally, it was time for the special surprise. We had made reservations for our little princess to get the royal treatment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!!! She was so excited when we told her the news. On the way there, she whispered "Mommy, I bet it's SO pink in there!" While, she wasn't right about the color, the decor was exquisite!
Her Fairy God Mother in Training was Marisol. What a sweetheart she was!!
I wondered how they got all the little girls' hair to stay so well. Got my answer. LOTS of gel. Ariel later told Lan that they use jellyfish gel!! I might need to get my hands on some of that!
The finishing touch….Fairy Dust!
Daddy was really excited to see his beautiful princess
Now, don't think we forgot about little E. We had originally planned on bringing him to the Pirate's League, where he could get his face painted by a pirate. But every time I would try to get a feel for whether or not he would like it, the conversation went a little like this:
M: "Hey buddy, don't you think it would be so cool to get your face painted by a real pirate??!!!"
E: "NOOO!!!!"
I can take a hint, as subtle as it may have been (yeah right), so instead we just bought him some pirate gear.
The hair transformed the boy! He was posing in the streets, fighting all those invisible pirates around Disney World, you know.
Now, we couldn't get all dressed up with no place to go, so we caught the ferry...
….did a little more sword fighting on the way….
….and then caught the monorail to Epcot, where we had dinner reservations at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.
Ramps + Strollers = Fun!
When we got to the banquet hall, Lan got her autograph book ready because she was going to get to spend some time with FIVE of her favorite princesses.
They were all quite beautiful, but none were as stunning as our very own!
